Holidays are a sentimental time for many. It’s also a painful time for others as you can’t help but remember those you loved that aren’t here to share this season with you. I know, I have a few folks I’m missing, too. But I guarantee that if our loved ones could talk to us again, they’d want to see us smiling and not sad. Those that truly love us want us to be at peace. They’d want us to enjoy the days we still have and to be thankful. And there’s so much to be thankful for! So let’s raise a glass to our dear departed this season and every holiday, but always remember the breath in your lungs and everything we have because it’s truly precious.

Thanksgiving Thanks
This year, I am so thankful for the people that I’ve met here in Las Vegas. I literally knew no one when I arrived, and now I have a small band of good pals. Take a moment to reflect on those that are close to you, those that love you and that you can count on.
I am thankful for small things. People who let me into the lane and then smile and give a little wave. Gorgeous lights and decorations in malls and neighborhoods. Holiday feel-good movies that are dumb and cheesy, delicious seasonal creamers for my coffee, great sales when I’m shopping, canned cranberry sauce….the list goes on. What small things spring to your mind when you take a moment to think about it?
I am also thankful for the basics. I woke up this morning, my bed was warm, there’s food in my kitchen and a job that keeps it all going. Many of you can say the same. For those of you that can’t, there are resources available to you in your city or cities nearby that can help with meals, shelter and job staffing. And that’s pretty great!

Thankful For You
I am thankful that I was able to watch my local Pride Parade on tv. I saw the proud faces of local LGBTQ and those that support them, and they were dancing, marching and modeling their creative greatness from the heart. I’m thankful that even though our local news stations and national headlines show us that diversity is far from being perfectly accepted, we have still come a long damn way. Sissies, cross dressers and transgenders can shop, gather and live openly in many accepting areas. And that makes me smile.
And of course, I can’t write a post about being thankful without being thankful for LDW. For 16 years, LDW has been a safe place for kink, fetish, sexy fun and expression. And there are great ladies here that listen and love guiding you to subspace. It’s because we truly love what we do, and it shows!
That being said, I am thankful for you, Reader. I love writing for all of you. So many of you have told me over the years how my posts and Amber Academy on Wednesdays have helped and changed you on your feminization journey. Thank you for reading and reaching out! If you’re just now finding me, you can jump into the current Series here, or start from the beginning in my Vault!
