Last week, we talked about sexy summer skin and moisturizing for sissies. But that’s not the last stop on our tour! As promised, this is the week I’ll be writing all about facial masks. Facial masks are fun to use and they don’t have to cost an arm and a leg. Unless you’re into purchasing body parts online, and if you are, I don’t want to know.
You can even make facial masks at home, with ingredients you may already have. There are masks for all skin types, and they can brighten dull complexions, tighten pores and restore a glow. Will the change be drastic? No, but subtle beauty is beautiful. Now do you see why I love facial masks?

Pre-Application Mask Tips

  1. Pull or clip your hair back.
  2. Apply masks when you are topless or wearing something you don’t mind getting messy.
  3. Avoid your eyes and mouth.
  4. For removal of all masks, you can gently remove with wet, warm washcloth or just jump in the shower.

happy summer

Facial Masks For Your Skin Type

(TBSP/TBSPS = Tablespoon/Tablespoons, tsp/tsps = teaspoon/teaspoons)

These are great recipes for sissies and cross dressers to have in their beauty arsenal. Feminine upkeep can be exhausting, but it’s totally worth it. Don’t over-do masks, though. You don’t want to irritate your skin. Stick to one mask, once weekly.

Oily skin

  1. Blend 1 peeled kiwi in a food processor or blender until smooth. Plop kiwi into a bowl (PLOP!), add 1 egg white and 1 tsp lemon juice and stir with a spoon until mixed. Apply to face and leave on for 15 minutes.

Dry skin

  1.  Add 2 TBSPS honey and 1/2 tsp coconut oil to a 1/2 of a ripe, mashed avocado. Apply and leave on for 10-15 minutes. (You can eat the other half of that delicious avo while you wait!)

Normal skin

  1.  Combine 1/2 cup warm cooked oatmeal (prepared plain) with 1 egg and 1 TBSP almond oil OR olive oil. Apply to face and leave on for 10 minutes.

Red or sensitive skin

  1. Combine 1/3 cup instant oatmeal with a 1/2 cup hot water and stir. Add 1 TBSP honey and 2 TBSP plain, unsweetened yogurt. Put this mixture into a blender and pulse until smooth. Apply and leave on for 15 minutes.

Brightening Mask

Mash 1 TBSP honey, 1 TBSP yogurt, 1/4 cup strawberries and 2 TBSP lemon juice with a fork. (Do not blend.) Spread on your face and leave on for 10 minutes.

Pore Tightening Mask

  1. Cook one serving of plain instant oatmeal and blend it with a half a ripe apple, a peeled ripe banana, 1 tsp of lemon juice, and 4 tsps of honey. Apply and leave on for 15 minutes.
