It’s heating up out there! Feel grimy yet? There’s nothing more frustrating than a sweaty face ruining a make-up job. Worse yet, those days when you’re not able to go home and get clean right away. Sweaty summer faces aren’t fun, but there’s a few things to know when washing it all off. The best summer skin for sissies, cross dressers and everyone else isn’t too far away!

Summer take-off

Make-up is fun and a huge part of feminization, but removal doesn’t have to be hard work. The biggest job you probably have is your eyes. The same products you love because of their staying power when you’re wearing them can give you a helluva time when it comes to taking it off. Never rush eye make-up removal. Don’t tug or rub. Instead, use a soft cotton ball with some oil free remover, or do what I do and get yourself some of those moistened eye make-up pads. Dab and swipe, and remember how delicate your skin is.

Summer suds

When it comes to washing up, if you’re using the same bar soap on your face that you use on your body, go ahead and just picture me having a kiniption fit right now! Please invest in something meant for your face and keep it dedicated just for that. Try a sudsy pump soap with lots of lather, or get those dry soap cloths that just need a little water to activate the lather. Use lukewarm water and rinse with cold.

Exfoliating and Moisturizing ~ Oh My!

I know, it’s super fun to use those exfoliating cleansers with those little face polisher scrubber granules, but don’t overdo it. Try once a week if you must, or you risk scratching your face and irritating the hell out of it. If you’ve gotten a little sun, you might be peeling a bit. Just be careful you don’t get some serious redness because you were rubbing your poor face raw. Pre-sun skin needs a little extra TLC. It’s time to brush up on some other summer skin tips that bear repeating, here in my blog from last season.

Moisturizing can be tricky in summer. Seems pointless with how hot you’ll be, but some faces still need something. The thick and rich moisturizer you love in winter will too heavy in hot weather. Make sure you pick something light, oil free and be right for your skin type. Whether you have oily, dry or combination skin, lots of redness, or if your skin is sensitive, stay away from one-size-fits-all and anything that says for-all-skin-types. If your skin is sensitive, no fragranced moisturizers for you! Try to incorporate some SPF, too. Make sure you cover your face and neck.

Finally, there are masks, super fun and totally helpful for deep cleaning. Next week, I’ll be talking more about them in my follow-up installment for sexy summer skin! Aren’t you glad you have a feminization Mistress to tell you all of these things?
