I love make up, all kinds. I even subscribe to a monthly box delivered to me so I can try sample sizes of all kinds of products….just because I love seeing what’s out there. But make up changes with the season. Summer colors aren’t winter colors.and there’s always new trends, just like in fashion.

That being said, brrr! It’s pretty chilly outside for most of you! And staying warm and cute isn’t the only priority right now. I actually thought I’d write a little about pretty things to do with eye make up during the colder season. What I like about these tips and trends is that it’s not hella complicated, so anyone can do them! Shall we get started?

Eye Make Up For Pretty, Winter Faces

Go For Gold — Use a gold cream shadow on the corners or middle of your eyelid in order to highlight a sexier, darker color. Blues, purples, greens….so much goes with gold!

Stay Timeless — Black liner is always in style but don’t attempt as a novice. Seasoned make up veterans with steady hand? This classic look will never steer you wrong. And remember, kohl pencil is much more forgiving than liquid, but by all means, show off if you’ve got the touch!

Rosé All Day — You might not have ever considered a maroon shadow before this week, but just a soft wash of color with a black liner to offset it and a shiny rose lip will have you in a pretty flush when you’re out en femme.

Silver Linings —  Just a touch of liquid silver liner will get you noticed. But keep the rest of your face sparkle free.

Lovely In Lavender — Try a soft lavender shadow on lids and blend to the crease of your eye. This particular color looks so pretty on pale, winter skin.

Grey And Pink —  Dark grey shadow really pops with metallic liner on bottom lashline. Rosy lip required.

No Nonsense And Sparkle Free — Love a sexy cat-eye? Pair it with your favorite red lipstick for a look that’s all business. Sexy business, that is!

Tried And True — A brownish smoky eye and a shiny, understated lip is perfect for busy mornings, at least in my make up mirror!
