Summer is in full swing and I hope you’re staying cool and protecting your sissy and cross dresser selves. This week, I wanted to remind all of you of some do’s and don’ts of summer that will help get you through the season pretty and safe!

Summer Beauty Points To Adopt Or Avoid

Do:

Do Drink Heavily— Water is life and in summer, it’s a no-brainer. Water will keep your skin dewy, your fine lines less defined and help you stay out of the danger zone for dehydration. Carry a water bottle wherever you go!

Do Powder Your Nose — Hot weather can do a number on your make-up. Oil blotting papers are a great concept and can touch-up a shiny face fast, but who wants to pay alot for beauty? I don’t! When I’m out and about in public and see a little shine on my face in the restroom, grabbing a clean tissue paper liner from the stall is exactly the same as those pricey blotting papers. Fold it a few times and blot carefully. Soak up shine before applying any more face powder….you don’t want a damp powder puff.

Do Protect Yourself— We’ve all heard of the dangers of the sun, of course. But the scalp is often neglected just because we don’t think about it. Always remember to wear head protection when you’re going to be in the sun for a long time. There are some cute summer hats for your days en femme out there, so grab one!

Don’t:

(Don’t Forget) Less Is More— Summer is not a time for heavy foundations or tons of products. Minimize your routine whenever possible. Thick, globby products will slide right off your face in the heat! Get some summer make-up ideas here!

(Don’t Miss Your) Beauty Sleep— Never sleep with make-up on. Never never! In addition to ruining your linens, you don’t need the blemishes, either. No matter how tired you are in the evening, always wash before bed.

(Don’t Fall Victim To) Sneaky Sun— Don’t forget that you can get sunburned just as easy and fast when it’s overcast as you can when the sun is beating down. Here’s my super helpful summer skin care blog if you missed it.
