Shoes just make me smile. They’re actually the first thing I look at on a woman…..straight to her feet, that’s me. That’s because shoes are a statement, one of the best feminine statements you can make. You can tell within seconds if a woman really cared about the outfit, because bad shoes ruin everything else. This season, sign off on everything you wear using the best signature ever: beautiful and fashionable spring shoes and hosiery.
Shoes and trends, styles to make your own this spring….
Pointed heels– Anything from a flat to a stiletto, whether it be strappy or metallic. Frilly sissies, take note!
White shoes– The biggest color trend this season, white is fresh, sleek and polished. Whether it be booties or a peep toe, white is a fabulous color this spring.
Oxford flats– This is classy comfort that’s still dressed up. Not dull and boring, look for feminine, metallic or textured.
Sandals in rainbow colors– Huge on the runway this spring, rainbow sandals will match anything you wear and get you noticed!
‘Statement heels’– Eye-catching and sexy, statement heels are ornate and unique. Rich colors and textures? Be bold!
Mules– Dressy slip-ons that look effortless, mules are hot this spring. Open-toed, too!
Block heels– Go suede or dressy in a hot block heel. Wear to work, go for drinks and look sexy en femme.
Ballet-inspired ankle ribbons– Showcase slender legs this season. Found in everything from a ‘gladiator’ style to a platform, lace up for beauty!
Sneakers– The ‘street shoe’ is a great option for the ‘dressy but dressed down’ look. Keep your eyes peeled for color blocks, prints and metallics.
Slipper styles– Not your Grandma’s porch shoes, slippers stay dressy and pretty this season. Slide on for a casual, trendy option.
Hosiery to soften the style
Sheer hosiery in eggshell and pastels are huge this season. Tights are sheer with lacy embellishments. Delicate and ladylike, floral prints dress you up and make them the perfect accompaniment. Tulle and honeycomb designs make tights pretty and add a special something. As always, nude hose is always in style for work and business, for any skirt or dress. Obviously no reinforced toes when wearing open toes or sandals, but that’s Hosiery 101.
Fashion is an adventure that you have to get outside and dress up for in order to experience it. No need to spend the rent, just look for affordable items in the styles that are trending and wear it well!
For those who would like to see it again, (and in the spirit of shoes and being graceful while wearing them), here’s a link to a previous blog ‘Perfecting Your Feminine Walk’. Work it, girl!
Oh Ms. Amber!
SHOES! I absolutely LOOOOVE shoes, and collect them. 🙂 It seems like each season and each year brings out new styles and trends!
I really love how you were able to simplify each kind of shoe and highlight the best parts. Mmmm. I wish I could have a good look in your shoe closet 🙂
Ms. Delia
You might actually lose yourself in my shoe closet, Miss Delia!
Hmmmm….I’m loving those gladiator heels! How sexy and hot are they? Not only would I love to wear them, I’d love to lace them up on my sexy sissies dainty feet too! These would be perfect to demonstrate sissy walking skills!
You’re so right, Miss Piper! Sissies definitey need to practice walking in all kinds of heels!
Ms Amber- I may or may not have a “problem” with shoes- it depends on who you ask! One thing I have discovered is that when you are buying the good standard classics, things that you know will be in style forever, invest wisely! But for the shoes that you only need for that one outfit, or that are more of a fad than a fashion classic, those can be less of an investment. Either way, take good care of your shoes, no matter the price or style, and they will last for many seasons!
That’s great advice, Stephanie! I agree!
I’m not only titillated and tormented by Your articles, but learning good terminology for sissy shopping. The Ballet-inspired ankle ribbons really capture my fancy. Thanks, Mistress Amber.
You are most definitely welcome, subBill!
