During my previous summer series, I wrote about skin care for my sissies and cross dressers, but it was about sun care and melanoma self-checks. Now that the weather is changing, skin is still important. Instead of waiting until your lips are chapped and your hands aren’t far behind, I’d thought I’d get a jumpstart on some tips for staying soft and touchable.

DIY Skin Tips For Sexy Fall/Winter Skin
Homemade smooth— No need for expensive facial scrubs, there’s no reason you can’t make your own. Simply mix 1 TBSP coconut oil with 2 TBSP sugar for an easy face scrub and then just rinse with warm water. You can use the same recipe for your body, just increase the ingredients.
Moisture lock-in— Make sure you’re slathering skin with moisture rich lotion the moment you step out of the shower while your body is still hydrated and pores are open. Soft, lotioned skin will look perfectly touchable when you’re out en femme!
Change your body pouf more— How many of you love those pretty, body pouf scrubbers in the shower? I know I do. But don’t keep them forever, as they can breed bacteria. Change every 2-4 weeks to keep it fresh.
More Tips (And A Few Warnings)
Ok, you’ve got some great tips. But be careful of:
- Lotions that have too much alcohol in them. This will be very drying for your skin and thwart all your efforts to stay soft and smooth. (Usually, if there is a high fragrance/perfume-y content, it will be high alcohol, as well.)
- Over-exfoliating. Don’t do it every day, or you can scratch your delicate skin. Only use a scrub once a week.
- Indulging in steam treatments and skin facials too much. (Here are some great DIY facial recipes from Yours Truly!) They have their purpose, but it’s possible to overdo. Avoid that, and you’ll avoid the skin irritation it leads to.
- Scrubbing your face with a washcloth. Don’t do it! Use gentle fingertips in a soft, circular motion and be careful of eyes.
- Speaking of eyes, they have their own needs. It’s never too late to find a quality eye cream for overnight.
- Not drinking enough water. Being dehydrated shows on your skin, especially with knees and elbows.
- Licking your lips alot. That’s the fast track to lip irritation, over redness, pain and chapping. Lips need their own moisture. Keep a good balm in your sissy purse at all times.

Yes, this is so true during the winter months sissies, men and women suffer from all kinds of skin conditions like dryness, itchy skin etc. And a lot of people don’t choose the right skin care products wisely during the winter months. What is also important is we all have different skin tones some are oily some or dry. I’m sure if everyone followed Ms. Amber’s tip for winter skin care they will have hydrated, soft, supple skin.
I think you’re right, Miss Cindy! Thanks for following Amber Academy!
What about oil of Olay mixed with rise water? Will that make my cheeks girlish soft and smooth?
I wouldn’t dilute your face cream, Petey. I think rose water is a little overrated. Oil of Olay is a classic!
Will Oil of Olay will make my cheeks girlish soft?
I would say so….I love the stuff!
Great post Ms. Amber! As the weather gets cooler, we do have to be more careful about skin drying out. Many sissies will be surprised to know that after 7 minutes in the shower, all the oil will be stripped from their skin.Shocking? I know. We can keep the moisture in our skin by shortening those showers.
Shortening the showers might work, but that’s hard for me. I’d much rather use cooler water instead of scorching hot as some people like it.
Ms Amber- I always love your posts on self-care, because so many of us have grown up knowing these things, but there are so many who are new to embracing their femininity that they need to learn! I’ve found that there are so may DIY skin care ideas, you can create a solution to any type of skin issue you may have! I’m with you on the cooler temperature water for the showers. It’s no fun to rush, especially if one has a hand held shower massage! LOL
I didn’t even think of that when I was replying earlier….but I love how your mind works, Miss Stephanie!
What do you think about the bath & beyond Japanese cherry orchid body lotions/mist/bath I’ve bought the buy 2 get 1 free. They smell great and really feminine! Hoping they will keep my skin girlish soft!
I know they store you’re talking about and they have some nice scents, but I’ll always be a Victoria’s Secret lotion girl at heart!
