I recently had a chance to talk to a sweetheart from one of the LDW chat room parties that I attended waaaay back when. He has now called a few times, and it has been so nice to have sessions with him! He is totally plugged into his pleasure, and he understands the give and take of a D/s session. But I wanted to pass on something that he mentioned to me about subspace, and his own private time. It was definitely worth repeating.
Subspace, Your Way
I have written about subspace before, and one person’s ‘take’ on how he prepares for it. You can read that blog about subspace here. Hearing from submissives is enlightening to me, because it’s literally how the other half lives. As an LDW Mistress, we want you in subspace. We want you to get absolutely everything you can out of your sessions. It isn’t just about the “wham-bam-thank you Ma’am” that phone sex is known for. And talking to my caller, it was clear that he loves his solo time, but also subspace his way.
My caller incorporates sensory deprivation into his sessions by way of a blindfold, and he finds that it really helps him relax and focus on his pleasure. Taking one of your senses away automatically puts you in a different frame of mind. It can help people ‘train’ their peaceful side, and allows the person to truly feel a special one-ness in their private play.
If you are interested in taking a little journey, consider these things. Never let anything keep you from the pursuit of purposeful pleasure!

Great post on subspace, Ms Amber. I have long realized that the experience of being in subspace is a big part of the lure to be submissive. Because it is rather addictive. I read some research on subspace that detailed the rush of specific feel good chemicals which flood the brain when a sub is out there in subspace. Pretty amazing. Love hearing about sensory deprivation too. Thanks!
You’re so welcome, Miss Violet! Glad to hear from you!
Ms. Amber, this post was insightful. I don’t really know how many callers think about how to get into subspace. It definitely does take some preparation, I think. The fact that your particular sub uses sensory deprivation heightens the other senses I’m sure. I do wonder if there are any subs out there that use visualization to get into subspace? Maybe we’ll here from someone.
That would be interesting…….anyone?
