This year has sucked. Let’s just be real.

However, we have one more month to stick it out and we need to. December is a hard month for many of us, and we can’t just decide that nothing is worth anything in 2020. Yes, we want this whole damn thing over with, but if we get ourselves in a ‘nothing matters’ mindset, we’re wrong.

Things still matter. Your mental health matters. Your physical health matters! And we need to face the fact that the issues that 2020 has been having won’t just disappear on January 1. Unfortunately, there still vaccines to wait on, people getting sick, mask mandates, unemployment changes and let’s not forget a whole nation in transition.

We need this month to propel us forward into 2021 because we’re going to still need to be rockstars next year, too. We want to be ready for the new year, not in a psychological hangover from this one.

So don’t throw yourself away. Don’t break all the boundaries and stop caring. Don’t take on new bad habits. Don’t ‘check out’. There are still good things around us. If you’re still here, you’re a survivor. Maybe you’re exhausted, but you’re alive.

So keep pushing!
