So last week we talked about sexy goals. I hope you set some! We’re well into January now, and December was exhausting. I can’t stress enough the importance of taking time for yourself this year. 2020 needs to be a time where we all embrace a little more self-care. Who’s with me?

Self-Care In The New Year

‘Self-care’ can mean all kinds of things, depending on the person. It’s easy to get so busy that we neglect ourselves. Some of us are so wrapped up in the needs of others that we feel guilty taking the time for self. But you can’t pour from an empty cup. So whatever ‘resets’ you needs to have a permanent place in your routine this year and every year!

Naps, bubble baths, calls with friends, tea and books, new hobbies, classes at the local college, shopping with girl pals, massage, travel, journaling, outdoor activities, baking, spa time….those all sound awesome, right? Sometimes giving yourself permission to say ‘No’ from time time and not agree to everything (or fix everyone’s else emergencies!) would help your stress immensely!

What’s Your Personal Rx?

We’ve all got responsibilities and stuff we don’t want to do but have to. However, injecting our lives with frequent doses of pampering and time-out will balance us and make us better, happier people. It doesn’t have to cost a fortune, but it can’t be ignored!

Personally, I’m making more time to read. One of you lovelies bought me a Kindle Fire awhile back and I have so many books waiting for me!  Naps sound pretty damn good, too. I’m a pretty good baker but need to make more time this year to really let myself get creative. So, see? Think about what centers you and don’t be afraid to take it for yourself! That’s an order from your Mistress!
