There sure are alot of beautiful women walking around! Hit up Caesars Palace for dinner with a friend the other night while the Man was off working. And the first thing I noticed was all the gorgeous hair, especially when the ladies weren’t exactly facing me. Curls, straight, bouncy, waves…. hair makes a statement, just like shoes and a handbag. But more than getting noticed, hair gets remembered. Sissies and cross dressers, wanna give good hair this Spring? Let’s talk sexy hair trends!

This pinkish rose gold shade is gorgeous, is it not? Major swoon!

Sexy Hair Trends This Season

Dirty Brunette — Some of the hottest color, in my opinion. Warm brown hair is lightened with dark blonde pieces. Sexy as fuck if you ask me!

Copper — Copper highlights are a great way to warm your complexion and add sexy depth to your brown hair.

There’s nothing old about this ‘silver’!

Pink— You don’t have to go punky pink to rock the trend. Consider a light tint to just brighten your blonde and get some hot attention en femme!

Blonde and White — If you’ve got blonde hair, you qualify. Freshen up those blonde strands with a brighter, whiter blonde through bleaching. This is a fun option for dirty blonde hair that never has any fun! *wink*

Dirty brunette….my fave. And you can add more blonde to this if you want….

Silver — This trend can look cute on any shade of hair. It’s edgy and trendy, and not at all ‘old’. Models are rocking this shade right now!

Got red hair like me? Try shades of mahogany, burgundy, or copper to electrify your look and get noticed!

Pre-Color Tips

  1. Make sure that you are going to a trusted stylist. Listen to word of mouth and read reviews if the colorist of your choice has never personally touched your hair.
  2. Talk to your stylist about your hair’s condition before you color. If your hair is damaged and over-processed, you may need to wait and grow out healthy strands while clipping the ends as you go along before you color. Do NOT forge ahead with color if your hair is broken or brittle. The chemicals (and possible bleaching) done during color will only make your condition worse. Any colorist willing to chemically treat your broken hair is someone you should run from. Don’t end up bald in spots just because your colorist is a greedy bitch that just wants your business. A good colorist cares about your result. However, if your hair is in good shape, trim your split ends and keep reading!
  3. Avoid washing your hair the day of color. Don’t even wash it the day before. You need those natural oils, so don’t strip them away.
  4. Don’t wash your hair for 72 hours after color. (There’s all this science behind color molecules fully adhering to hair shafts and it would be a snoozefest if I went into detail. Just don’t wash for three days.)
  5.  Talk to your stylist about the best kind of shampoo for you to use after treatment. Don’t just assume you can use any old product or go back to what your pre-colored hair was using.

Happy coloring! Have fun and rock those cute, feminine shades this season!
