Last week, I talked about Fashion Pieces That Should Be In Every Feminine Closet. I know how important acquiring female clothing is to my readers, and what those items mean to them. Consider this post and my last one to be something to aspire to, as goals for crossdressing. The items on the last list (and the one I’m about to give you now) are go-to’s, a basic skeleton for your feminine closet that will ensure you have versatile, classic pieces. Yes, there are trends and you may fall prey to them. Me, too. But some things never go out of style. And we should all have them to lean back on.

Feminine Accessories For The Feminine Cross Dresser

Of course, this list is ‘Amber-ized’, like the last one. I have come to accept my Irish-tomboy-Mistress-fashionista-take-no-crap way about me, and everything I say or do gets filtered through it. Amber Academy isn’t some femdom fashion article, it’s more like a great girlpal that gives you tips. So without further adieu, I give you THE LIST. (Again.)

  1. A few (or more) great scarves. They’re not just for Grandmas! Scarves can be pretty on your head and there’s a myriad of ways to wear them around your neck.
  2. A tiara. This one goes out to all those frilly sissies, and it may not be your style, but if you’re a pretty princess, you’ll wear that tiara with pride!
  3. Sunglasses for summer. I am a sunglasses freak! Aviators are my fave, but find your style and mix it up!
  4. Jewelery. Whether strictly fashion or the real deal, little touches of bling are important. Maybe a ring that makes a statement, a dainty ankle bracelet, a headdress if you’re channeling your inner Cleopatra or a string of pearls for all you romantics out there!
  5. You need at least three sissy purses. You never know what your mood will be, and you can’t just hold the same bag until it dies. Make a statement! You can brush up on some of my fall/winter styles of purses for a good place to start.
  6. Hats. Now hats aren’t everyone’s thing, but they’re essential for summer to shield from the sun, and some of us look damn cute in them. Personally, I have a few bucket hats and more ball caps than I care to tell you about. (Tomboy, remember?)
  7. Pretty hair things. It really depends on your style. Headbands are a throwback, ribbons are timeless, barrettes are classic and little hair combs are so feminine!
  8. Belts. Sometimes functional, sometimes decoration, it might be a trendy chain-link or as simple as a sash. Belts can give you a waist if the dress you’re wearing doesn’t. Belts look smart.

Completing The Look

Accessorizing is all about your own individuality. The beautiful thing about being a sissy or cross dresser is options! Don’t get boxed into one or two looks. Be bold, try new things, try things you’re not even sure you can pull off. Obviously, have some common sense about you. Don’t wear if it makes you look sick, opt for vertical stripes to slim you instead of any horizontal stripes that will do the opposite, steer clear of big prints if you’re a bit heavier, etc. But those types of things aside, taking risks is exciting. Think of accessories as finishing touches.
You are a masterpiece.
