I love purses. The perfect accompaniment regardless of the occasion, a purse feels feminine to hold in your hand and to have for yourself. Having your own sissy purse is not a trend, it’s a constant accessory that is functional and fun. And this spring, purse trends are pretty clear. Certain styles have emerged that are huge on the runway this season, and if you’re looking to buy a purse this spring and want to keep in style, this is the information you need right now!

Perfect styles for a spring sissy purse

  • Small and cute! Clutches and wristlets no bigger than an iPhone is the ultimate no-frills option if you only want just the essentials with you. Got a money clip, a compact and a phone to carry? This style is for you.
  • Classic bucket and box-y!  This is a better route, in my opinion. I have more than just a few small things to tote around and I bet you do, too. Bucket bags and box shaped purses are stylish and fun to carry when dressing like a woman.
  • Top handle, baby! These are everywhere! Leather is defintely the most popular, but there’s no shame in a decent ‘pleather’ option, especially if you go through purses fast or like changing them up alot.

The truth is, the actual style of purses this season is just secondary to what really seems to be the trend. It’s all about lots of ‘extras’ and embellishments. No boring purses! Texture, fur, geometric shapes, stripes, tassles, fringe and stylish chain handles set spring purses apart this year.

Perfect items for a sissy purse

Ladies keep all kinds of things in their purses, but some items are with me constantly and might be popular with you, too.

  • A compact mirror with face powder for touchups. Gotta control that shine, always! (Did you miss my spring sissy make-up post?)
  • The perfect lipgloss or color. There’s nothing like lipcolor. Itrightens your face in an instant!
  • Travel sized hairspray. Tame fly-away strands and freshen your ‘do on the run!
  • Travel sized lotion. This is a huge skin saver for hands and elbows.
  • Wallet or money clip. Cards and/or cash. You gotta have that bread, baby!
  • Mints or gum.
  • A great pair of sunglasses.
  • A fragrance rollerball. The perfect way to keep a practical sized fragrance with you when you’re out en femme, I find it perfect when I’ve had a long day that started early and am meeting friends later.
  • Stay connected. A phone in your purse is pretty much a no-brainer. (I know that there was a time when I didn’t have one, but how in the world did I live without it?)

And this might be sound weird, but I always carry a few packaged bags of tea with me so I have my favorite hot drink after a meal with friends…..especially in restaurants, because asking a waiter for hot water is NBD.

Next week, it’s all about hair!

I was actually going to combine hair and purses this week. But then I started to get all the info together and was like ‘Whoa, am I nuts? This damn blog will be 1200 words.’ So I eighty-sixed that idea, but have some more great spring stuff for you next week. So come right back!
