Winter may be bitter cold but winter fashion is hot, hot, hot! As always, it’s about making a statement, and feminization is in full swing this week as I bring you the looks to rock right now!

Throwback! Like, totally….

This season, the Sixties and Eighties just won’t die, and we don’t want them to! I’m seeing mod dresses with cool accessories and chunky boots with sexy skirts. Think Pat Benetar, Flashdance and Pretty In Pink…..find your inner Duckie and give her a Molly Ringwald feel! Pair a little bit of print with solids, and be mindful when putting whole outfits together. For example, wool sweaters and scarves are totally functional, but pair them with a different fabric so you don’t look like you’re wearing a snowsuit.

Business chic….

One trend that’s stepping right off the runway now is feminine menswear. That’s right! Just make sure it looks tailored and not like a coat thrown on a hook. Think crisp white with dark blazers, and go all out. Pinstripes are equally popular, just make sure they are subtle and classy and not loud. Feminine menswear needs to fit your body right, so get it fitted if it doesn’t. There’s no use in almost pulling it off. Make the effort to stop traffic when out en femme, and you’ll walk taller and feel sexier, guaranteed.

Splash of color….

Deep red and scarlet is hot right now! Find it in scarves, dresses and boots you pair with patterns. Pink is a great shade to sneak into your wardrobe, as well. Don’t be afraid to be a little festive and work in silver or gold, tasteful rhinestones or something glittery. It is the holidays, after all! Just be tasteful and not tacky. Make sure you stand in front of a full length mirror when deciding the best placement to draw an eye. People will see you head-on and get the whole picture immediately, so use a little strategy when making that color statement! And don’t overdo. Like they always say, less is more.

Winter fashion can be so exciting for sissies and cross dressers, and the possibilities are endless. Just remember, you are the artist, and your body is the canvas. Yes, you have to stay warm. And yes, it may be below zero. But winter fashion doesn’t have to be bulky or drab. Shake it up, ladies! Look your best!
