When it comes to the feminine lifestyle, staying on top of seasonal trends, sorting out make-up and balancing cross dressing with real life and responsibilities can be a bit overwhelming. However, there’s one part of a feminine lifestyle that you can bank on no matter what season it is…..and that’s your fragrance. Your perfect scent style does more than get you noticed, it can become a signature. Even if the specific perfume you’re using changes, finding the fragrance family that is right for you and staying where you belong will always complement you.

Connecting with your fragrance family
Fragrances are divided up into a handful of specific categories. They are all distinct and special in their own way. Because fragrance is personality driven, finding your ‘type’ is as easy as knowing your feminine style as a woman.
Floral— Are you romantic, sensitive, feminine and sweet? Do you live for spring, love romantic comedies and prefer a gift of fresh flowers over wine? Look for scents of rose, jasmine, lily, violet and lavender.
Fruity— Some of us wish it was summer all year long. If you’re spontaneous and a free spirit, explore delicious fragrances that can awaken the senses. Organic is not basic! Go for fresh citrus, pear, peach and apple.
Woody— If you love fall and the outdoors, get close to nature with woody scents that are edgy and earthy. Explore sandalwood, patchouli, cedar, vanilla and musks that blend with body oils for a second skin. Perfect for those whose lifestyles do not allow for sweet, feminine fragrance, get that Woodstock hippie stereotype out of your head. Woody fragrances can be quite feminine and smell amazing.

Oriental/Spicy— If you’re fascinated with travel and adventure, adore wintertime and rich, warm colors, go for alluring scents of clove, cinnamon, chocolate, amber or rose. The perfect fragrance for strappy stiletto en femme evenings, oriental fragrances are vibrant and seductive.
Ocean— Beach babes love the sea and resonate with anything clean, relaxing and light. Ocean scents are often androgynous and calm, but never boring. If you live for salty air and sand in your shoes, choose lime, white freesia, mint and citrus.
The most important thing about fragrance is to make it yours. No two people will wear it the same!

I’m sensitive & sweet as I like the floral perfumes /lotions. Everytime I go to salon the girls give me manly scent as I’ve told them I don’t mine the lavender/floral scent but they give me the manly lotion 🙁 same with girl I’ve been friends with she told me bath & beyond has manly lotions. I’m at the point where I’m going to give up as I can’t win and women aren’t into to doing this to me. It’s no fun if I can’t find women into this. Any ideas of how I can make this work?
You’re going to have to be sweet and firm with the clerks at the salon and let them know exactly what your style is, Petey. There ARE women that will do this to you, but it’s going to need to be a kink for them as well as you. Those women may be difficut to find, but they’re out there!
Ms Amber- I’m not sure if I should endorse a company here, but I do want to share that your sissy shoppers can go online at one cosmetic web site, answer a few questions, and then purchase a collection of fragrance samples with a certificate for a full size bottle of the one they like best. This may be a useful idea, rather than only testing one scent out a day. It’s important to see if you wear a fragrance well- some I have found lovely, only to be stricken with a headache a few hours later! I’m sure one of us can tell the curious what company it is privately- and maybe there are more than I know about! Thanks for sharing the categories of fragrances, it will surely help in the decision making process!
You’re very welcome….and I will post your comment. If anyone specifically asks me, I can let you know. =)
This is great Mistress Amber. I’ve never thought about perfume this way but it makes so much sense matching your personality with your fragrance. Thank you so much.
You are so very welcome, Stephanie!
