It’s almost the end of they year, almost the end of this series. This week, I decided to cover a subject that I NEVER HAVE BEFORE. Excited yet?
I talk alot about fashion in Amber Academy, and I’d like to think I give good advice. Like never pay full price, make sure you own a full length mirror, try to have versatile clothing that you can use for multiple looks, don’t purge (!!), copy a style and never a brand, etc. And I’m a shopping fanatic and talk alot about trends. But today, I want to cover fashion peices that should be in every feminine closet.

Keep, Donate, Toss: A Feminine Closet Needs Order!

Now, I said never to purge, but donating or tossing something hideous or grossly out of style (and therefore unwearable) is not the same. All that shopping can overstuff your closet and you may not even know what you have anymore. That’s why it’s important to go through things and decide what to keep, what to donate and what to toss. You can’t keep everything, you pack rat! If you have something with alot of wear left that you can donate, do it so someone else can love it, too. However, there are things that are keepers no matter what the decade. If you do not own the things on this list, acquiring them is ideal if you are living an en femme lifestyle. This is a list to aspire to in the new year.

The List, According To Amber

  1. The Little Black Dress (or LBD) is perfect for multiple occasions. It’s a standard.
  2. A classy pantsuit. It’s a powerful look, yet feminine for sissies and cross dressers alike.
  3. A leather jacket if you’re a sexy tomboy like me. You can make anything girly, even leather. Good leather is an excellent investment, and it’s stylish with many looks.
  4. A few perfect pairs of jeans. Jeans are hard to shop for. When you find some, buy a few. Great with sneakers or heels, dark denim is the business.
  5. A classic white shirt, a white blouse and a white t-shirt. These are so versatile.
  6. Something cute that you can get dirty. Just because you’re painting a room or gardening doesn’t mean you can’t look cute!
  7.  Multiple pairs of classic pumps for business chic and dresses (like nude, black, red), fuck-me-heels for fun. Don’t forget a great pair of flats and tennis shoes to give those pretty feet a rest!
  8. Black slacks, of course! Perfect for sweaters/cardigans, blouses and pretty tops when you want to be a bit more dressy.
  9. At least one cashmere sweater. Cashmere is the ultimate in feminine beauty. It’s impossible to feel anything but special and lovely in cashmere.
  10. Camisoles for layering or lounging. It’s a frilly sissy must!
  11. A few pairs of boots in varying lengths. Booties, mid-calf, or even taller….whatever your style.
  12. At least a few maxi dresses.
  13. A denim jacket and a trench coat. One for casual cute, one for no-nonsense. Both essential.

Next week, I’ll be talking about accessories that should be in every feminine bedroom. Don’t miss it!
