So one of my friends is going through a major breakup and it’s super sad because we all hoped a ring was coming! But a friend of mine saw Mia’s man hanging all over some chick at The Palms and Mia confronted the cheating douche.

That was it. Boom, over. Just like that. So instead of letting my girl drown herself in chips and queso or get naked and make poor decisions, my friends Krista, Cassie and I rescued her and took Mia out.

There’s just something about being whatever your friend needs at the time. Open mic night? Be in the audience even if the drinks are a complete ripoff. Crazy lady wants to run a marathon? You better be on the sidelines! And when your friend is tearing a man’s clothes out of a closet and she’s more than a little bit hysterical, help her dump all his crap in the yard and then take her out to sushi and sake. Blubbering into her spicy tuna, fine. Just be there.

It’s easy to raise a glass at a party or post a happy pic of your friends. But if you’ve got a regular squad or just some good people that have always been there for you, help them with the hard stuff, too.
