These last few weeks, I have been discussing makeup for sissies and crossdressers. I’m wrapping up the makeup portion today but first, I’m talking about cheeks and lips, two sexy ways to make a statement. Both of these can impact your look so much, and wake-up your face. But what to choose, and how to choose it?
Stop, you’re making me blush!
Blush is fun, but application is key. I rarely use the small brushes that arrive in the compact, opting instead for something larger that better distributes color for me. Just remember that the bigger the brush, the more natural the look. Smaller brushes will offer more concentrated color. But no one wants to look like they have racing stripes on their face, so work to apply blush in a circular motion on the actual cheek bone. Let that circle of color be larger rather than smaller, of course, as it will look more natural. Confused about color? For fair skin, stick with softer shades like coral and peach-y pinks. Medium skin tones? You’ll do best with shades that are a bit richer, like a deeper peach, a mauve-y pink or pinks that are a bit more concentrated. For dark skin tones, rosy browns, corals or brighter pinks will really make skin pop!
Sealed with a kiss….
When dressing like a woman, lipstick can be your calling card, the signature that people come to know and recognize. Dressing up and being bold is fun, but I’m talking about practical advice today. To really find the right color, actually consider the color of your natural lips and stay in that color family. Be careful with bold colors because certain shades can draw attention to the color of your teeth, which is something you may not want. The colors that come to mind when I say this is anything orange-y or brown. If you are set on these shades, you may want to explore tooth whitening options to help if you need it.
If you have fair, pale skin, opt for darker reds or corals that are pinkish. If your skin is of medium tone, think darker pinks, or reds with shades of brick or cranberry. Dark skin tone? You can actually pick darker shades in this case. Most browns or deep brownish-reds will look great!
The whole point of makeup is to accentuate what you already have, finding just the right combination of color to unlock your prettiest face. It can be fun to play, (and that’s why I have an entire drawer full of lipstick!) It might even take a handful of colors to get it right. But you’re worth the work, because the confidence that feminization offers is so essential. Makeup doesn’t make the person, of course. But everyone has a great feature, sometimes more than one. Find it and make it work for you!
