It’s summer and even though it’s hot, we all still want to look our best. But you won’t find me writing about heavy routines or lengthy processes this season. Are you kidding? Who has time for that? Summer is a time of ‘less is more’ and minimum beauty work for maximum impact. It’s all about fun, fresh, easy and feminine when the weather is hot. So, I decided to share a post I wrote last January, entitled ‘Instant Ways To Look And Feel More Feminine‘. Being pretty takes work but it doesn’t have to be a drag. The trick is to switch it up, keep your ears open for little things you can work into your routine and of course, have fun with it. I hope you love my little throwback post this week, with an excerpt below of feminine beauty tips. These are little things I’ve done myself and totally endorse.

Feminine Beauty Fragrance And Eyes….

Smell delicious— Don’t be afraid of fragrance. I have a few scents that I switch for everyday use, something sexier for nighttime and a few very nice fragrances that I save for super-special events. Can’t wear anything too flowery? Then don’t. Light, clean scents can still be feminine if you’re a sissy or a cross dresser. Apply just on your pulse points before you get dressed (to avoid staining clothing), and if you use too much, swab off excess with a cotton swab and some rubbing alcohol.

The eyes have it— There’s a few ways to make some subtle changes that will give an instant change:

1) If you wear contact lenses, consider colored contacts to play up your eyes. (Important: Never order contact lenses online without a prescription!)

2) Apply false lashes just to the outside corners to open up your eye more.

3) One of my best tricks for pretty eyes is to use a highlighting pencil (not fine tip, but more of an eye crayon) just under your brows, as close to the brows as possible. Apply a thin, soft line just so your arches can catch the light. Even if you’re not a make-up pro, feminization can be simple!

Feminine Beauty Hair And Skin….

Not the time to shine–Over the course of the day, it’s easy for a face to get a little oily, but that makes your make-up look like crap. Maybe you’ve heard of those little blotting papers that can be whipped out in a restroom to use before you apply some face powder, but why spend your precious cash on a trendy item for your sissy purse when I have a trick? Forget overpriced blotting papers and use a clean toilet seat cover instead. It’s not glamorous, but it’s the exact same thing and I’d rather save the money. Toilet paper covers are basically everywhere, too…..so problem solved.

Play your part— Your face can look different instantly just by changing the part in your hair. Parting hair down the middle or off to either side are all options. If you love the side part but have always gone ‘left’, switch it up and go ‘right’ for awhile. And who knows? Your new hair may help you tame a cowlick if you have one. (I do!)

Go ‘Crawford’. (Cindy, not Joan)— Dressing up en femme and want to kick things up a notch? Consider adding a small beauty mark. Using a light brown eyebrow pencil, pick ONE place on your face (like your above/side lip) to make a small and but defined beauty mark, like a dot. Don’t go nuts, now! You are trying to acheive a subtle glamour that looks natural and believable. If your new beauty mark is going to be a topic of conversation, you’ve gone too far. A little beauty mark will change your face slightly for a new look and washes away later.

Wrapping Up

Have a great week, and use that sunscreen!
