Sometimes it’s hard to peel yourself away from fashion magazines with their glossy pages and polished styles, but just because we can’t drop the dough doesn’t mean we can’t have the look. This spring, fashion is a little edgy and a little classic…..my favorite combination, hands down. Feel like shopping? These feminine looks are all the excuse you need!
Make a fashion statement
- Show some skin! Off-the-shoulder dresses and sexy sleeveless tops give you just the right amount of exposure.
- Clean and crisp. The classic white shirt never goes out of style. Pair with denim, fitted slacks, skirts and business chic.
- Go ‘vintage’. Hit the retro button with pretty pleats in eye-catching skirts and dresses that show off flirty florals.
- Get your sparkle on! Who says that shimmer has to be a holiday thing? Everyday dresses and skirts help you play with the trend, or amp up that shine with evening dressy looks while out en femme.
- Explore stripes! Whether it’s a colorblock dress or a more conservative pinstripe blouse, stripes are a fun fashion statement. Mix it up with fabrics and go a little nuts!
- Get all tied up. Accentuate your waist with a belt or sash, or try using a ribbon in your hair or around your neck.
- That’s a wrap! Wrap skirts are huge this spring! Pair with a blouse, rub in a bit of moisturizer and show off healthy legs.
Don’t forget a few accesories!
- Shoulder duster earrings. Whether they be hoops, dangles or feathers, ‘oversized’ is hot this spring.
- Sunglasses. Always have a great pair to fall back on. Some styles are timeless, but if you’re bent seeking out the trend, go for a pair that looks futuristic, has smaller lenses or just has a little flair to them.
Quirky ‘fashion’ is still fashion…..I’m just whimsical enough to actually wear these!
When building your look, make sure you have a full length mirror (a must!) to see your entire self from head to toe. Always take a look at the final feminine statement that you’ll be presenting to others every morning before you step out into the wide world.

I do have to admit Ms. Amber that I do like stripes. While I never wear them, I did see a great set of striped Ralph Lauren sheets for my bed! I think they will be perfect as a fashion accessory for my bedroom! I know, kinda naughty to think about it, my bed could use a skirt of its own too 🙂

Spring shopping is very much on My mind right now, Miss Amber. I’ve just recently dropped 4 digits on some items I couldn’t resist. But you’re absolutely right that our sissies and crossdressers and transgirls don’t have to empty their bank accounts in order to look fresh and feminine when the warm weather hits! Sometimes, with a few ideas and some small purchases, a gurl can revolutionize what’s already in her collection!
