After my dandy spring cleaning make-up post last week, I thought it would be fun to share a bit of beauty style this time. After all, you’ve eighty-sixed all the old, gunky and expired stuff from your beauty stash, so is there a better excuse to shop?

Re-invention is one of the greatest aspects of feminine life. Because looks change with the season, regular updates are fun and always fresh. Here’s some do-able beauty for all you sissies and cross dressers, straight from the runways and magazines that are white-hot with spring trends right now!

Beauty, bold and and bright….

About face! Steer away from the perfectly powdered foundation face and embrace the ‘dewy’ look this spring! Cream blushes add a soft flush, rich and full lashes, just enough filler on brows for a natural look, a bit of smudge-y dark liner and pretty washes of color on the lip complete the style. You can use a bit of powder but play with pressed and not loose. And get out your eyeliner smudgers, girls! (Or use a light fingertip to blur it a bit yourself.) Love lipstick? Maybe the next bit is for you….

Go bold. If you can pull off a deep pink, crimson red or even orange, right now is the time to rock it! If your teeth are not as white as you’d like, you may not get the lipstick look you want. Thankfully, home whitening kits can leave your teeth dazzling and totally made over if you need it!

Bronze beautiful. For some sexy evening beauty when out en femme, invest in a medium large make-up brush and study your face and cleavage in a mirror. Sweep on a bit of bronzer just where the light hits you for a fun, summer-is-coming look that gets you noticed. And just say no to all-over bronzer….save your ‘oompa loompa’ look for Halloween!

Make your mark. Beauty marks are all the rage this season. Don’t over-do it with dark dots that get you a double-take for the wrong reason. Use a soft coffee or dark honey colored pencil for a lovely, sunkissed beauty mark instead. For this look, it’s about subtelty, not drama.

Hair and nails

The long and short of it. Accessories are for everyone! Try some new pretty barrettes or combs this spring to accentuate a sweet style. No matter what length you have, taking pride in your hair is essential when looking more like a woman, so rock it!

How do you ‘do’? Try a pretty updo or twist to add some trendy style to your look. And forget about ‘every hair in place’. Windswept and casual is the look you’re going for this spring….no perfect looks or helmet heads here!

French fun! To keep your nails trending, stick with the classic and timeless beauty of a French manicure style. And don’t think that a clean white straight tip is your only option…..color is huge this season. Pick one!
