Fall is all about fresh trends, crisp weather and fashion that gets you noticed. But this week is the perfect time to talk a little about great hair, another way to look pretty and feminine. I’ve talked about picking the perfect wig before and those already come with a great style, but many of you have beautiful, long and natural hair. This post is for you!

Tips for great fall hair

Styling aside, keep in mind that as it gets colder, you’ll need a little hair protection against dryness that can make hair brittle. Deep condition once a week, and if you need a little more help during the week, consider a leave-in conditioner once or twice a week. (Make sure you avoid your roots.)

But styling is the fun part, right? Great hair doesn’t require pricey visits to the salon or expensive treatments. However, having a few great products in your arsenal will help you in front of your own mirror, you just need the know-how. This blog is all about tips for hair, an excellent natural accessory in looking more like a woman.

Styling help for sexy tresses!

Need a little lift? Sprinkle a little volumizing/texturizing powder on dry hair, and work it with your fingers to give the appearance of fuller hair.

Want an easy change? Change your part. Use a fine tooth comb and take your time. Parting your hair down the middle is totally 70’s hippie (perfect to wear with any of the 70’s styles in the blog I wrote about a few weeks ago), and side parts are always in style!

Long hair? Go old school and braid freshly washed and damp hair in a few braids at night, undo your braids in the morning (separate with fingers but don’t brush) and use some light finishing spray for waves.

Go straight! If you want to go from curly/wavy to straight, work a straightening cream into damp hair and use a paddle brush while you blowdry. Finish with just a bit of shine serum and finishing spray. Keep it long or pull into a sleek ponytail for a fabulous look when out en femme.

Short hair? If your hair is short but all one length, try a sexy side part and a little pomade for a sleek look.

Love blowdrying? Smooth just a dab of shine serum down your strands (again, no roots!), and then blow dry with your head upside down for volume. I use a very ‘touchable’ hairspray, something with medium hold. No helmet heads!
I also love my large round brush to curl my ends as I blowdry. If you have longer hair, vary your brush technique to not only include the ends of your hair, but for curling the sides of your hair away from your face for Farrah Fawcett-esque type waves. End with a finishing spray, and you’re set!

I enjoy being a sissy Mistress!

I sure love spending every week being a sissy Mistress and bringing my cross dressers and sissies just a little bit of feminizaton in bite-sized peices. As Fall is my favorite season, I have enjoyed talking about fashion up to this point, but sexy hair is a hot accessory that we can all have. Happy styling, everyone!
