When it comes to fall shopping, don’t leave dresses off the list! Are you looking for cocktail, casual or something in between? Dresses always make a womanly statement, no matter what the occasion. Want to know all about the must-have pieces for fall? Read on!

Dressing down for daytime….

It’s no secret that maxi dresses are great for summer, but maxi skirts are all the rage this fall. You can go ‘long’ without being dowdy, and they won’t look dated or drab if you know what to do with them! Dismiss them as too conservative, and you’ll be missing out. Pair them with crisp, long sleeved blouses and light sweaters in the cool months. Don’t be afraid to wear them with sexy ankle boots or even taller if you prefer.

Did you know that there’s a nod to 60’s fashion this fall? Embrace the feeling of that time with mod and patterned skirts that you can pair with sexy heels and boots.  You might even channel your inner Jackie-O with an A-line dress and heels. Classy and sophisticated! I have always loved wrap dresses and will be buying some this fall. But shirtdresses and sweater dresses can be pretty and fashionable, too. But watch out for bulk. Even in the cooler months, be aware of the padding that thick material can add to your overall frame. Unless you’re going to spend the majority of your time outside in the chill, you’re going to want to move freely and look stylish and not like a polar bear. Some of the dresses coming out of big fashion cities are absolutely ludicrous this fall. Stay away from extreme trends and stick with classic styles. If you pick a shirtdress or sweater dress, be ready to accessorize with a belt so it doesn’t look like it’s hanging on you. Tights, boots or heels and you’re done. Like I’ve said before, there is nothing wrong with comfort. Just make it stylish.

Glam dresses for your nightlife….

When it comes to parties, events, dates and drinks with friends, the classic Little Black Dress is always on time. Want to change it up a bit? Check out sheath dresses and anything with a slightly flared bottom to add a sexy look for a girls night out. I have always been partial to halter tops to accentuate a graceful neck, and halter dresses do the same. Have something to show off? Try a plunging neckline or a daring slit up the back that gets people talking but still keeps you covered. Proud of your cleavage? Have spectacular legs? Don’t hide them. Stilettos, pearls, diamonds….own the night!

It’s so fun to consider all the options that dresses can offer. Feminization lets your imagination run wild, and there’s so many statements to make!
